We can give you more for your money since we do not carry an inventory of land. Rather than doing speculative building driven by speed and volume, we focus on doing what we do best: custom building.
Joel Barkman is the President/CEO of Golden Rule Builders, Inc. and oversees the New Homes Division. Joel built the first several Golden Rule houses as "spec homes;" the company gradually evolved into custom home building and remodeling.
Joel and his wife Patty have five children and are active members of the Dayspring Mennonite Church. Joel is active in local and national professional organizations and is currently serving as President of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA). He participates in the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors for the Allegro School of Music in Warrenton, VA. An elder at the Dayspring Mennonite Church, Joel serves as Chairman on the Board of Directors for New Horizon Ministries.
